Program / 01Founding Associates Program

Founding Associates Terms

These terms govern applications and participation in the Gaussford Systems Founding Associates Program. We partner with elite freelance and project-based professionals under a transparent, mutually beneficial framework.

LAST UPDATED: July 12, 2026

1. Program Philosophy & Nature

The Founding Associates Program at Gaussford Systems is a collaborative, project-based network designed for high-agency engineers, designers, and growth professionals who thrive in an autonomous, outcome-driven environment.

Nature of Relationship: Participation in the program is entirely voluntary and organized on a project-to-project contract basis. This program is not a traditional, salaried employment position. It does not establish an employer-employee relationship, and is instead a professional freelance, consultancy, or independent contractor alignment.

2. Application & Onboarding

We appreciate the time and effort candidates invest in applying to our program. Our selection process focuses on identifying technical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and systems-level thinking.

  • Submitting an application or advancing through screening stages does not guarantee final onboarding into the program.
  • Onboarding is discretionary and depends on active project demand, client pipelines, and the matching of skills with upcoming engineering needs.

3. Role-Based Compensation Structure

Because this is not a salaried role, compensation is strictly performance and project-based. There is no fixed or minimum monthly salary. Compensation is structured transparently based on the specific track you join:

For Associate Developers

Associate Developers are compensated via project-based revenue sharing. For every client engagement you are staffed on, you will receive a predefined, mutually agreed percentage of the project revenue or milestone payments as documented in the specific project schedule.

For Client Acquisition Associates

Client Acquisition Associates are compensated via performance-based commissions. You will earn a percentage-based commission for successful client conversions resulting directly from your leads, calculated on the project value as agreed upon in your commission schedule.

4. Work Allocation & Capacity

Our project model is dynamic, adapting to the needs of the startup founders and businesses we serve:

  • Associates are not guaranteed continuous or back-to-back project allocations.
  • Work staffing and project assignments depend entirely on project availability, client requirements, client budgets, and scheduling alignment.
  • Associates maintain complete autonomy to accept or decline any project allocation proposed by Gaussford Systems.

5. Confidentiality & Data Protection

In the course of your engagements, you may gain access to proprietary software systems, client business models, database schema, and confidential business strategies.

  • Confidential Information: You agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all non-public information, system designs, codebase structures, and operations of Gaussford Systems and our clients.
  • Client Information Protect: You must not misuse, copy, disclose, or distribute client databases, credentials, or operational data for any purpose outside the assigned project.

6. Intellectual Property (IP)

Coherence and clear ownership are vital for the software and brands we engineer for clients:

Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, all source code, assets, systems, brands, and documentation created by you during your billed hours or project milestones for client engagements belong exclusively to Gaussford Systems(or will be assigned directly to the client as part of our client agreements).

This ensures we can provide legal guarantees of ownership to our client partners. You retain no residual rights to such IP, except for showcase or portfolio rights explicitly authorized in writing.

7. Discontinuation & Settlement

We believe in professional freedom and agility, allowing either party to dissolve the arrangement under clear guidelines:

  • The associate or Gaussford Systems may discontinue participation in the program or a specific project engagement at any time.
  • Honoring Commitments: In the event of discontinuation, Gaussford Systems guarantees that all outstanding project payments, milestone shares, or commissions earned up to the date of departure will be fully honored and paid out in accordance with the agreed terms, provided deliverables are handed over professionally.

8. Certificates & Future Roles

We are dedicated to supporting the professional development of our associates:

  • Professional Experience Certificates: Issued upon completion of active project terms, reflecting the technical contributions, durations, and technologies utilized.
  • Recommendation Letters: Discretionary and issued based on performance, commitment to standards, and system performance indicators.
  • Future Opportunities: Paid full-time or part-time contract positions may be offered to outstanding associates as we grow, but are not guaranteed.
